Had our anniversary dinner here last night. Food was amazing as always. Our server Victoria was outstanding!!! She was very pleasant, friendly, always smiling and extremely professional. We eat here ever time we visit Kingston. Have never had a bad experience here.Thank you for making our visit fantastic Victoria!!!CHEERS!!!

The pizza was absolutely amazing and there was plenty of choices on the menu. My girlfriend and I came here for one of our first dates. Normally on a date I tend to just pick at my food but when I took that first bite I couldn't help myself from devouring the rest. 100% recommend eating here.

Extremely busy place. Make sure to make a reservation, especially on the weekend. I was expecting better pizza from all the raving reviews. The toppings were concentrated in the middle so your last few bites were just dough. The service was ok, nothing special. We ordered 5 pizzas, one drink and a salad and paid more than $120. Pretty expensive for pizza in my opinion.

Has it all! Fantastic food, beautiful environment and super service. Really a lovely place to enjoy with family and friends.

The food selection and quality are consistently excellent here. Pizzas are great but be sure to check out the entrees that are not pizza as well. Tough to get a dinner reservation on short notice so plan ahead.

Delicious thin crust pizza. Very friendly staff, with reasonable prices.We had the curried lobster with blackened chicken. The pizza had much more chicken and sweet potato than lobster.Then we had porchitto pizza.

I haven't been to Wooden Heads for several years as it is always so busy but I took the leap and met a friend for lunch this week. Made reservations in advance, by phone, as required, and I have to say it was fabulous. Packed and fabulous! I had the Caesar Salad with Oven Grilled Chicken and she had the Pizza. Our eyes rolled back in our heads the food was so good; we shared.

Absolutely fantastic pizza place in the heart of Kingston. The pizza is made fresh in their large oven and it comes out perfect every time. The crust is just the right level of chewy and the smoked salmon on the arrogosta was bold and flavourful. The jerk chicken satay was also an interesting mix of flavours. The mango chutney makes a great makeshift dip for the crust as well. The place was also clean with attentive service. All in all, I'd definitely recommend a visit!

Excellent place to go for an upscale pizza night! Food was delicious, plenty of options, and very fresh!Prices were a little high, but not too far out of what you would expect from this type of restaurant.The drinks and cocktails were also very tasty, and the restaurant had a wide variety of beers, wines and cocktails, whatever you need to wet your whistle. Great for a date night!It is a pretty popular place, so I would recommend making reservations, especially on weekends.

Pizza was delicious and they had all sorts of different combinations of toppings that you would never think to try. My daughter loved watching them make the pizza through the glass.

If I ever visit Kingston again, I'd definitely come back to this place for pizza and salads! Their service is also great. Highly reco this place.

The pork tenderloin was the star of the night. It was a savoury-type dish. You had the arugula sitting at the bottom, and it was topped with pesto cream. They pair this with the pork tenderloin, which, I must say, was cooked to perfection. I'd say that the sweet and creamy cream sauce with the pasta and pork made for a symphony of flavours. You had a sweet and savoury taste and it was just so delicious. I highly recommend this dish when you come here.

I've stopped in here a few times for coffee. The coffee is fresh as they promise but I would not describe it as my favourite java joint. The restaurant would be closer to its 'fresh' promise if it found a local roaster (I'm making an assumption here - but the coffee needs to at least taste as though the beans are still fresh).

By far the best pizza in the province. At first I wasn't sure about going to that place as I always used to eat "cheap" pizza. Then my girlfriend won and we went for a nice evening. I was surprised to see how that place was. I understood why we needed a few days ahead reservation. It was popular and crowded but we didn't suffocate. It was clean, the food smelled good and the waitresses were doing a really good job. I ordered a "duck" pizza and it was by far the best pizza I have ever had. Little pricy however worth every penny. Will definitely go again.

This is a must do when you are in Kingston but plan ahead because it is ALWAYS busy. The pizza is on par with any of the other best places I have been. The chicken, pesto, honey pizza is my favorite.Visit 2: Stuck with the dynamo but tried a blue crab special pizza and the meatball special.

Not really sure the reason for the extremely high ratings. We found the pizza OK and the prices high. In our opinion the best thing was the soup that we ordered. The service was good but nothing that justifies a 5 star rating. decent experience. Next time I visit Kingston I would try another restaurant.

A busy spot in the heart of Kingston with an excellent selection of wood fired pizza. They give you plenty of options to choose from whether it’s one of the pizzas on the menu or build your own. We had the Arrabiata pizza and the Dynamo pizza. Both were tasty and didn’t disappoint. Service was also very good. Recommend you give a try. We will definitely be back again.

I just loooove this place. It is a pioneer village, put together by teachers, house by house moved from other parts of Ontario. The volunteers are dedicated and knowledgeable, they bring the village to life. It is open year round with regular special events. We have been a few times and my favorite visit so far is the fresh baked bread

Generous portions, fresh ingredients, good service. Reservations recommended as tables remain full throughout the day, especially during peak times. Small space makes accessibility limited and very loud. Thus, not a quiet spot to dine and converse. Prices average $23+, including specials, but pizza selections in the teens. Diverse menu, vegetarian options and sharable portions make it a selection that is likely to please everyone in your group.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience for us. Pizza was very salty and service was only ok. We expected to have a better experience, since the restaurant is very well rated. Maybe we were unlucky on that day.Beautifully decorated and a great location, near the waterfront.

Is it comparable to places in bigger cities? No. Is it delicious regardless? Yes! Price is a bit steep but I would definitely go if I wanted to treat myself and friends. Personally, some of the pizzas have weird combinations but you can always substitute. Also, the menu is a bit overwhelming but the staffs are nearby to help.

Our bartender Brian, a Wooden Heads veteran, took our orders for two of the house’s specialty, individual custom pizzas, baked with thin crust in a large brick oven centre stage. One with fresh basil, goat cheese and excellent sauce ; the other with lobster sauce and a mild cheese plus broccolini. A bottle of vintage Malbec from a good wine list was ordered, followed by a chocolate mousse dessert. All delicious. Somehow he kept up with a line of chatter and good cheer, serving beer and mixed drinks, answering the phone, keeping the servers going, all in a boisterous full pub atmosphere. Busy but fun, we’d go back.

Went to the restaurant on a recommendation by a friend. Was traveling alone so sat at the bar. Restaurant was extremely busy and I'm told this is very common during the summer season. You can make reservations. The restaurant is close to the four major hotels in the downtown area of Kingston. Easy to walk to on a nice night.I felt the prices were reasonable and the portion size was appropriate. Waiter was Paul who was also managing the bar. He was busy but took time to have conversation and make a few of us at the bar feel welcome.I had one of the pizzas and would recommend if you are going to attend the restaurant this should be your choice. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and worth a try.

Probably some of the best pizza I've ever had. It has a wonderful ambiance from the moment you get in the door: you can see the pizzas actually being made thanks to the glass partition between the kitchen and dining room. Friendly, professional and prompt service didn't disappoint. Best of all, however, was the custom made-to-order, wood fired, hand crafted pizzas, which I can only describe as being one of the best pizzas I have ever had in my lifetime. If I'm in Kingston again I'd definitely re-visit.

Really great pizza. It was really busy when we went but we were still seated pretty quickly. The staff was friendly. If you're looking for a quiet place, this isn't it when it's busy. If you're looking for a unique atmosphere and some great food, this is what you want.

Went there for the first time tonight and had a great experience! My boyfriend & I were seated at the bar because we did not have a reservation but even then we were lucky to be seated so I can't complain about that. The food and the service were amazing. The staff were very friendly and personable. As this is a gourmet restaurant the price was higher than your average pizza place but well worth it. We did not have to wait long for out food or drinks. I would definitely recommend making a reservation to anyone looking for a good time.

Fantastic selection of fun dishes to please everyone! Had it to go for the first time (covid), it travelled very well. I would recommend this to anyone!!!

The wood fired pizza is excellent. It's a bit more money but worth it for the quality. This is the way pizza should be made. Most places sell bread with tomato sauce on it. Highly recommended.

Although a bit $$, and extremely popular, our dinner was very good. (We were a party of 3 and arrived at 5 PM and had to be finished by 7 PM due to reservations). I recommend reserving while planning a meal there.

Sir John A. MacDonald did the world a wonderful favor by requesting the creation of this pizza joint in 1300 B.C. Not only is it the oldest institution in North American history, but Christopher Columbus himself - Italian as pizza - had to bow down before such magnificence.A Canadian monument absolutely worthy of the first ever capital of the Kingdom of Canada.

Delicious pizza! Their pear calzone was a great way to end the meal.

Be wary of any place that calls themselves gourmet. That's like the kid that goes around telling everyone how cool they are. They have a beautiful wood fire oven and great topping selection but their pizza dough and cooking technique is far from anything gourmet. A huge brick woodfire oven should be able to cook pizza in less than 2 minutes. My pizza sat in the oven for over 6 minutes and the bottom still came out undercooked. The pizza is comparable to frozen pizza from the grocery. Unless they figure out a better dough recipe I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Our server was nice though.

Whenever I'm in Kingston I make sure to stop by Wooden Heads to order their lobster curry sauce pizza. Haven't found anything like it anywhere else. Awesome food.

Salad and shrimp appetizers were good, and pizzas were tasty. Lots of variety in types and price. Nice atmosphere, friendly service.

Menu options include set pizza's and build your own, many topping items and service is good. Pizza's could be cooked a little bit longer for a crispy crust. Otherwise a very good pizza restaurant.

There is a reason this place has so many good reviews. I have tried four pizzas from here so far and every one has been fantastic. My favourite has by far been the Dynamo, but I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you choose. One piece of advice is to reserve a table here as early as possible (over a week in advance ideally) it is always packed and hard to get a walk-in table.

Original, delicious, and unusual wood-fired thin-crust pizza served by attentive staff. Not a budget destination but well worth the splurge. Reservations always recommended due to the popularity of the place.

This has become my go to place when I'm in Kingston. You'll read tons of great reviews about their pizza and food, and they are correct. However I want to add they also have amazing cocktails, some really great bar staff, and a really great late night vibe.

Loved this place. Went due to recommendation and it definitely lived up to expectations. Delicious food, good wine list and nice staff.

Best pizza I've ever had! The ingredients are the freshest I've ever had! Coconut shrimp were pretty good too. If you have a chance to, sit outside at the back. The ambiance is so beautiful and romantic. We both absolutely love this place and will recommend to anyone visiting Kingston to try it out!
